James Forrest gained the cross to score the only objective of the match as Celtic won 1-0 at Hamilton of Mohamed Elyounoussi.
The loan signing from Southampton sent in a low cross that Forrest transformed for his seventh goal in nine Celtic games.
The goal was the only key episode in a completely one-sided opening period but Celtic’s failure to capitalise on their dominance enabled Hamilton to earn a game of it afterwards half-time.
However, the hosts could not trouble goalkeeper Fraser Forster and also Celtic survived a late scare to see out their fifth consecutive league win this season.
Basel winger Elyounoussi and former Molde was handed the berth in the absence of the injured Mikey Johnston and he had a good effort blocked prior to his aid.
The deft touch of odsonne Edouard sent Elyounoussi ahead of their Hamilton defence and then he drove at a cross that Forrest side-footed house from six yards.
The debutant was united in the by his Norway team-mate Kristoffer Ajer, that recovered from a groin problem to replace the Nir Bitton in the single change.
Celtic controlled the first half and Markus Fjortoft was reserved for pulling down Edouard as it looked like Celtic had busted during before the rest.
Forrest came near a second just after the break when he labored space to shoot from 16 metres. Owain Fon Williams obtained a fingertip to the ball and it bounced off the bottom of the crossbar and out.
Hamilton brought on Marios Ogkmpoe for George Oakley at the 53rd minute and the striker’s actual presence helped the hosts get a foothold in the match, deliver team-mates into play and with Lewis Smith starting to get onto the ball.
Following Hamilton forced a couple head coach Brian Rice changed formation by bringing on midfielder Adrian Beck to get centre-back Fjortoft and going into flat back four.
Ogkmpoe and blair Alston shortly burst through on the border of the box were off target with their shots.
Celtic had brought for the Australian’s very first appearance of the season after a knee injury on Tom Rogic set up of Elyounoussi, since Neil Lennon tried to inject any life to his team and Vakoun Bayo substituted Edouard.
Ryan Christie delivered a strike over from 20 yards and Bayo had a header but they had a call deep in to five minutes of stoppage time when Ogkmpoe had been inches away from connecting with the cross of Scott McMann.
